Security design principles
- No hardcoded Grafana passwords — set on first login.
- No hardcoded credentials or SSH keys.
- All OS security updates applied at build time.
- Restrict ports 3000 and 9090 to your IP via EC2 security group.
Configuration
This image works out of the box. Customise using EC2 user data (cloud-init) at launch, or connect over SSH after the instance starts.
Security
Never embed credentials in cloud-init user data. Use AWS Secrets Manager, Parameter Store, or IAM instance profiles.
