Getting Started with NebulaImage Docker
NebulaImage Docker provides a production-ready Docker environment on Ubuntu 24.04 LTS, available through AWS Marketplace. This guide walks you through finding, subscribing to, and launching your first instance.
Prerequisites
Before you begin, make sure you have:
- An active AWS account
- Access to the AWS Management Console or AWS CLI
- An EC2 key pair in your target region
- A security group with port 22 (SSH) open to your IP address
Step 1 — Find the product on AWS Marketplace
Search for NebulaImage Docker on AWS Marketplace. Click Subscribe and follow the prompts to accept the terms.
Step 2 — Launch an EC2 instance
- In the AWS Console, go to EC2 → Launch Instance
- Under Application and OS Images, select Browse more AMIs → AWS Marketplace AMIs
- Search for NebulaImage Docker and select the latest version
- Choose your instance type (t3.medium or larger recommended for production)
- Select your key pair
- Configure your security group — port 22 must be open to your IP
- Click Launch instance
Step 3 — Connect via SSH
Wait for the instance status checks to pass (typically 1–2 minutes), then connect:
ssh -i /path/to/your-key.pem ubuntu@<ec2-public-ip>
Step 4 — Verify Docker is running
# Check Docker Engine version
docker --version
# Check Docker Compose version
docker compose version
# Run a quick test
docker run --rm hello-world
You should see Docker running and the hello-world container output. Your environment is ready.
